My opinion coolest outdoor bar in FT.L is Salt7 Salt Shack. Great drinks and a decent happy hour. Cool outdoor setting overlooking the river. Check it out

This was a great spot for a date night--very chic with a sexy vibe, even if you're just stopping in for drinks. The lighting really set the mood. I had the steak with lobster mac and cheese and a side of scallops. We shared the mac and cheese, and after she tasted it, she claimed it as hers--yes, it was that good! The steak was perfectly cooked to a medium, just the way I like it, and the scallops were delicious. She ordered a pasta with shrimp, which she said was creamy and rich. It was a generous portion, so she ended up saving some for later. My only issue was with the extra shrimp we ordered. The server asked how many we wanted, and as foodies, we said six. When the bill came, we were surprised to find out the shrimp were $8 each. It would have been helpful if the server had clarified that. Other than that, everything--from the food to the service--was great. Just a heads-up: parking can be tough in the area, so I recommend using valet.

I only tried the detached bar for drinks. It's a chill vibe. But because it's an open air space and everyone walks by even those begging for money. Felt kinda weird. My drink was good and the crowd for the bar was great also. I'll have to try the restaurant on my next visit.

So, there I was, taking a romantic stroll with a fine young lady, when we stumbled upon Salt 7--a hidden gem sitting in the backyard of a hotel, like some kind of luxurious, secret garden bar. I couldn't tell if I was in Fort Lauderdale or on the set of a James Bond movie. The ambiance? Impeccable. As we sipped our drinks, I casually pointed out yachts gliding by like it was no big deal. "Oh yeah, that's just the yacht I'll be buying as soon as I figure out how to beat the lottery system," I joked. Meanwhile, the yachts just kept coming, like they were trying to outdo each other in a slow-motion parade of wealth. Now, let's talk drinks. I started with the blueberries and butterfly mojito. This drink was so strong, it could probably fuel one of those yachts, but it was delicious enough that I didn't mind the possibility of setting sail by accident. After that, I tried the black salt margarita, which had just the right amount of edge. The salt rim added a touch of sophistication--or at least that's what I told myself as I took each sip, pretending to be a connoisseur. The bar itself is so perfectly placed, it's as if the hotel's backyard was custom-built to make your drink taste better. I'm not sure if it was the view, the fine company, or the potent drinks, but I'm convinced the cocktails here are mixed with a little bit of magic. If you're looking to impress someone, or just pretend like you own one of those yachts for a couple of hours, Salt 7 is the place to be. Just be careful--one too many drinks, and you might start telling people you do. 10/10 would return, if only to keep up the yacht-owner charade a little longer.

We stopped in for a spontaneous dinner after our first plan failed. We sat on the outdoor patio, which was comfortable and had beautiful views overlooking the water. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered various plates. My favorite was the lamb chop appetizer. My husband enjoyed the bone marrow, octopus, and hamache appetizers. I believe his favorite was the oysters. I also got the scallop entree. I was shocked at how salty it was, and I swear they garnished it with cheez its and green apples! So random. Anyway, we enjoyed trying. The theme with all the food seemed to be salty. They certainly lived up to their name.

Came to visit South Florida and took the water taxi. We decided to eat dinner at this stop. It's right by the water taxi stop so it's convenient! Btw there is a discount if you use the water taxi. The place has a very trendy vibe. Cute decor, dark lights. Has the classy look and feel. Food was delicious overall. We had the sushi pizza which was excellent. We also had the New York strip steak which was a good cut but nothing extra special in taste or prep. The duck rice was really good! The drizzle of spicy mayo was yummy. The espresso martini we tried was so good! Had a very coffee, espresso taste but it was just right. Service was pretty fast. We came on a Wednesday so it was slow probably. But just felt our waitress was rushing us and didn't have a friendly demeanor I think that would have made it a better experience. Finally, although it's not really restaurant for kids, the bathroom in the women's bathroom was kid friendly and had a changing table. Not sure about the men's bathroom. Only problem was that it was so dark in the bathroom to change the little one. The little one got scared because it was so dark.
